Fast-sinking, high-strength fluorocarbon fishing line (specific gravity 1.78 g/cm³) designed for making leaders and shock leaders. Fluorocarbon is virtually invisible underwater (light refraction close to that of water), does not absorb water, and retains its strength for a long time. Low linear stretch improves bite detection, provides excellent sensitivity, and helps deliver a firm hookset. Compared to monofilament, fluorocarbon offers a much longer shelf life because its natural aging process is significantly slower.
